PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage machine which has a simple structure, which can accurately detect a specific region of a user's body, and which can change massage intensity.SOLUTION: A massage machine 1 includes a body supporting part 20 which supports a user's body, and a massage unit 9 which is provided in the body supporting part 20 and which can ascend/descend along the direction of the user's stature. The massage unit 9 includes: a base frame 60; a moving frame 61 which is provided in such a manner as to be capable of advancing to/retreating from a user side with respect to the base frame 60; a massage means 62 which is provided in the moving frame 61 and which massages the user's body; an air cell 63 for advance/retreat, which displaces the moving frame 61 to an advance/retreat position, intended by the user, in an arbitrary ascent/descent position; an urging means 89 for constantly urging the moving frame 61 to the user side; and detection means 83 and 86 for detecting the user's specific region on the basis of the advance/retreat position of the moving frame 61.
