PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record image data of a prescribed frequency even if a video signal of a different frequency is inputted.SOLUTION: A drive recorder 2 can record image data of a prescribed frequency even if a video signal of a different frequency is inputted. Namely, both a video signal whose synchronous frequency is a standard frequency and a video signal whose synchronous frequency is a non-standard frequency for a flickering countermeasure of a signal apparatus are converted into image data whose synchronous frequency during reproduction becomes the standard frequency, and the converted image data is recorded in a memory card. Thus, a user can use a general-purpose apparatus for outputting the video signal whose synchronous frequency becomes the standard frequency for a video device connected to the drive recorder 2 by after-fitting. When an image generating apparatus 3 is added afterward, the drive recorder 2 can record a peripheral video signal showing a periphery of a vehicle, which is viewed from a virtual viewpoint, in the memory card as image data.
