PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality of a moving image which conventionally has low quality in the case of being observed as a moving image, because nonuniform image movement remains in consecutive frame images due to panning operation at nonuniform speeds performed by a photographer during photographing.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: an acquisition unit which acquires plural frames of image data captured consecutively; and an image data generation unit which cuts off a portion of the image area of a target frame of image data among the plural frames of image data and adds portions of the image areas of other frames of image data to generate corrected frame image data in which a movement from/to subject images in the frames of image data before/after the target frame of image data is the average movement between subject images in the plural pieces of frame image data.
