PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer unit and an image forming apparatus capable of securely preventing the interior of the apparatus or an installation place of the apparatus from being soiled.SOLUTION: A secondary transfer unit 3 includes a cleaning member 35 and a toner conveyance unit 6. The cleaning member 35 removes matter sticking to the surface of a secondary transfer belt 31. The toner conveyance unit 6 includes a toner conveyance section 60, an outlet 63, and a shutter 64, and conveys toner in a conveyance direction X. The outlet 63 is an opening formed in a lower face in a vertical direction, and is detachably provided in a connected port 52 of a toner conveyance section 51 connected to a waste toner box 5. When a door is closed, the outlet 63 is attached to the connected port 52, and when the door is opened, it is detached from the connected port 52. The secondary transfer unit 3 and a storage part 80 are disposed in the door. The storage part 80 moves together with the secondary transfer unit 3 as the door is opened or closed. The storage part 80 has a receiving plate 81 and a spring. The receiving plate 81 is located below the outlet 63.
