PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of securing the visibility of a screen even when a predetermined comment is displayed in addition to an icon.SOLUTION: A navigation device includes: present value acquisition means 2 for acquiring present value information on itself; map storage means 3 for storing map information including road information and facility information; icon storage means 4 for storing an icon A showing the facility information; and display control means 7 for controlling display forms of the map information and the icon A to be displayed on display means 8. The navigation device is equipped with comment storage means 5 for storing a comment C which is sentence information relevant to the map information, and the comment C includes: comment characters Cf and a comment frame Cr which surrounds the surroundings of the comment characters Cf. The display control means 7 varies the shape of an area of the comment frame Cf to a display variable range while penetrating a display range of the comment frame Cf, and performs display so as to be the sentence information matched to the shape.
