Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy and also maintain safety without deteriorating comfort and convenience of a user in an electric Kotatsu in which an electric heater is controlled by detecting presence/absence of a user by using a human body detection sensor.SOLUTION: An electric Kotatsu includes a control means for controlling energization of an electric heater 5 by using a human body detection sensor 19 detecting presence/absence of a user. When the human body detection sensor 19 detects absence of a user, the control means sets a standby state mode of restricting an amount of an electric current flowing in the electric heater 5. When the human body detection sensor 19 detects presence of a user in the standby state mode, the control part cancels the electric current restriction to the electric heater 5 and sets a normal state mode.
