PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a size-reducible rolling bearing, a bearing device, an information recording/reproducing device, and a method of manufacturing the rolling bearing.SOLUTION: An outer ring 31A (31B) is arranged at an annular space side 34A (34B) in a radial direction at an outer end in an axial direction with a shield plate mounting part 39A (39B) including a circumferential wall surface 39a extending along the axial direction, and a step surface 39b extending to the annular space 34A (34B) side along the radial direction from the inside in the axial direction of the circumferential wall surface 39a, and a shield plate 33A (33B) includes a circular ring cover plate 35 arranged along the radial direction for covering the annular space 34A (34B), and a plate spring 36 extending from a peripheral part on the circumferential wall 39a side of the cover plate 35 to the inner side in the axial direction to pressingly contact with the circumferential wall surface 39a.
