Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor that can be miniaturized more than a conventional one.SOLUTION: An electric compressor 10 has a scroll type compressing mechanism 30, a motor 20 driving the compressing mechanism 30, a main shaft 40 transmitting rotational force of the motor 20 to the compressing mechanism 30, a main bearing 41 rotatably supporting the main shaft 40, and a sub bearing 42 rotatably supporting the main shaft 40. The electric compressor is characterized in that the more 20 has a stator 22 and a rotor 21 arranged around the stator 22 and the main shaft 40 is supported by the sub bearing 42 inside of the stator 22.
