Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle control device, capable of supplementing a torque load portion of a traveling motor side by an engine side by properly switching an operation mode of a Miller-cycle engine upon the occurrence of failure of a traveling motor system and thereby securing required torque necessary for vehicle traveling to continue the traveling.SOLUTION: When a vehicle performs engine/motor traveling or motor traveling (S4 Yes), a Miller-cycle mode is selected as an operation mode of an engine 2 (S10) when a traveling motor system is normal (S6 Yes). When the traveling motor system is abnormal (S6 No), by selecting a normal cycle mode as the operation mode (S12), the engine torque required when switching to engine traveling is secured.
