ROLLING METHOD OF METAL BAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method of a metal band which improves thickness distribution in a width direction (sheet thickness distribution) of a rolled material uniformly in a rolling cycle in rolling which uses a roller provided with a shift mechanism for shifting a work roll in an axial direction and a cross mechanism which crosses a vertical WR work roll.SOLUTION: In rolling a rolled material by using a roller provided with a shift mechanism for shifting a work roll (WR) in the axial direction and the cross mechanism for crossing the vertical WR, a rolling method obtains an error between a predicted calculation value of a WR profile and a WR profile target value at a contact part of the rolled material and the WR on all rolled materials to be rolled in the rolling cycle, and a shift position change amount and a folding position where a shift movement direction of the WR is inverted are determined so that a total value of the errors of all of the rolled materials in the rolling cycle becomes minimum, wherein the shift position change amount of each rolled material is constant in the rolling cycle. Then, a cross angle of the WR on each rolled material is determined.
