PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an efficient power saving function.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: an analyzing section 20 for analyzing first printing information and second printing information input by an input section and for extracting a printing condition included in each of the information; an accumulating section 30 for storing and accumulating the first printing information input by the input section in a power saving mode; an image forming section 60 for printing the first and second print information on recording paper as images in accordance with the printing condition; a printing order determining section 80 for comparing, when a plurality of pieces of the first printing information are accumulated in the accumulating section, the printing condition included in each of the plurality of pieces of the first printing information extracted by the analyzing section with the printing condition included in the second printing information, and determining a printing order giving priority to the pieces of first printing information where the printing conditions match; and a control section 70 for instructing the image forming section to print the pieces of the first printing information accumulated in the accumulating section, in the printing order determined by the printing order determining section, after the second printing information is printed.
