Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal for a rotary device and a method of producing the seal.SOLUTION: In one aspect, a seal for a gas turbine engine (10) includes a seal body (38) disposed at a base of a turbine engine blade (22, 24) and a wing part (46) extending axially from the seal body. The wing part has a first part (52, 54) substantially parallel with a centerline (C) of the engine and an angled upward part. The first part extends between the seal body and the upward part. An angle (A) between the centerline and the angled upward part is between about a 0 degree and about 90 degrees.
