METHOD FOR PRODUCING CEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cement in which even when sulfur content in fuel used for a main burner of a cement kiln varies, the amount of SOin cement clinker can be kept within a predetermined range.SOLUTION: In a method for producing cement in which the inside of a cement kiln 1 is kept under a high temperature atmosphere by a flame from a main burner 5 disposed at the kiln front 4, and cement raw materials are put into the cement kiln 1 from the kiln bottom 4 and fired while being sent to the kiln front 4 side to produce cement clinker, the amount of SOcontained in the cement clinker is controlled within a range of 1-3 wt.% by determining the amount of gypsum required to compensate at least a variation of the sulfur content 14 in fuel for the main burner or a variation of the amount of SO15 contained in produced cement clinker, and putting the amount of gypsum into the high temperature atmosphere at ≥1,400°C in the cement kiln 1 from the kiln front 4 side of the cement kiln 1.
