Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus 100 capable of obtaining a coating surface where inclusion of air etc. and ruggedness are reduced even with a paste having easily drying and easily condensing characteristics.SOLUTION: A coating apparatus 100 discharges a paste discharged from a die 110 onto a base material PM from the discharge port 180 of a discharge passage 120 over a width direction d2 perpendicular to a coating direction d1 of the base material. The die 110 has a lip portion 202 projecting in a trapezoidal shape in a cross section. The lip portion 202 has an upstream lip surface 212, an upstream inclined surface 214, a downstream lip surface 222, and a downstream inclined surface 224, wherein the distance h1 of the discharge port 180 in a coating direction is set to be 0.1-06 mm, the length L11 of the upstream lip surface 212 in the coating direction is set to be 2.0-3.0 mm, the length L12 of the downstream lip surface 222 in a conveying direction are set to be 2.0-3.0 mm, and a length L13 is set to be 30-50 μm.
