CELL CULTURE SUBSTRATE AND CELL CULTURE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture substrate made of a polymer complex having flexible, tough and excellent dynamic physical property with clay minerals uniformly and finely dispersed in an organic polymer at the wide-ranging clay mineral content, and allowing the quick recovery of cultured cells without causing the damage of cells and substrate mixing when separating and recovering the cultured cells, and a cell culture method facilitating the recovery of cultured cells.SOLUTION: A cell culture substrate uses a polymer complex (C) with water-swellable clay minerals (B) finely dispersed in a polymer (A) using water-soluble (meth)acrylate (a) as a monomer. The cell culture substrate is used to culture cells under temperature conditions where the cell culture substrate shows cell adhesion, and then the temperature of the cell culture substrate is lowered down to a temperature at which the cell culture substrate shows cell non-adhesion. The cultured cells can thereby be separated from the cell culture substrate without causing the damage of cells and substrate mixing.
