Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve heat exchanging performance by suppressing retention of a refrigerant, in a multi-flow type heat exchanger having tubes extended in a vertical direction.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 1 has a first upward flow path P1 with a refrigerant flowing toward the upper side, a first downward flow path P2 with the refrigerant flowing downward in succession with the first upward flow path P1, and a second upward flow path P3 with the refrigerant flowing upward in succession with the first downward flow path P2. A flow path cross-sectional area of the first upward flow path P1 is set smaller than a flow path cross-sectional area of the first downward flow path P2. A flow path cross-sectional area of the second upward flow path P3 is set smaller than a flow path cross-sectional area of the first upward flow path P1.
