Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static eliminator capable of making the amount of irradiation light applied to a photoreceptor drum uniform even when the number of LED chips of a static eliminator is reduced, and providing constantly stable image quality without causing image failure due to unevenness in the amount of light; and an image forming apparatus using the static eliminator.SOLUTION: An acrylic board cover 2 of a static eliminator 1 includes a first light diffusion lens 8 that is arranged on an LED chip light emission side 6 that emits light radiated from LED chips D, and a second light diffusion lens 9 that is arranged on a light-emission direction top surface 5 where LED chips D are arranged in array. Respective beams of light radiated from respective LED chips D pass through the first and second light diffusion lenses 8 and 9.
