PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling base material that can improve performance of wiping out fingerprints caused by a finger or the like.SOLUTION: An antifouling base material includes a base material having a surface, and an antifouling layer provided on the surface of the base material. The antifouling layer includes at least one of a first compound having an ester linkage in a portion other than the terminal thereof, and a second compound having a cyclic hydrocarbon group. An advancing contact angle of oleic acid on the surface of antifouling layer is 15° or less and a receding contact angle of oleic acid on the surface of antifouling layer is 10° or less.
