Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine capable of inexpensively improving durability and a PV characteristic of a scroll unit.SOLUTION: A scroll type fluid machine includes a scroll unit (14) where a tip surface (32a) of a spiral body (32) erected on one substrate (28) of substrates (26 and 28) always slides to a base surface (26a) of the other substrate (26), while a tip surface (30a) of a spiral body (30) erected on the other substrate (26) of the substrates is separate with a predetermined clearance (54) with respect to a base surface (28a) of the other substrate (28). The sliding tip surface (26a) always sliding on the other base surface (26a) has an electroless Ni-P plating layer (56), and the sliding object base surface (26a) on which the sliding tip surface partially slides has an anodic oxidation coating processing layer (58).
