Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fuel consumption by maintaining a high expansion ratio irrespective of a load state of an engine and suppress the occurrence of knocking in a high load region.SOLUTION: A volume piston 22 is moved so as to make maximum a volume Vc of a clearance chamber in a compression stroke by the rotation of a volume cam 26, and the volume piston 22 is moved so as to reduce the volume Vc of a combustion chamber 9 at the timing of reaching earlier in ignition timing and a compression top dead center.
