Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink which improves heat radiation performance and a lighting device which achieves the downsizing and the weight reduction.SOLUTION: A heat sink 10 is used for radiating heat from LEDs (heat sources) 2 on a surface of a base plate 11 where multiple heat radiation fins 12 are erected on a rear surface in a parallel manner. In the heat sink 10, slits 11a (or holes) are formed on the base plate 11, and a guide plate 13, extending obliquely relative to a longitudinal direction of the heat radiation fin 12 from an edge of the slit 11a (or the hole) of the base plate 11, is disposed between the adjacent heat radiation fins 12. Further, an LED lighting device 1 is formed by mounting the LEDs (light emitting elements) 2 on a substrate 3 provided on the surface of the base plate 11 of the heat sink 10. Furthermore, vent holes 13a are formed on the guide plate 13.
