Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of jamming or image failures in an apparatus during gloss processing.SOLUTION: Once a surface gloss processing apparatus starts gloss processing, a control section acquires glossiness measurement data on the surface of a sheet from a glossiness measuring section (S100), and determines whether the surface of a sheet retrieved from a paper feed tray has been subjected to gloss processing or not on the basis of the glossiness measurement data (S110). If determining that the surface of the sheet has already been subjected to gloss processing, the control section displays a message on a display screen indicating that the sheet is erroneously set, and stops transfer of the sheet retrieved from the paper feed tray to the gloss processing section (S150). If determining that the surface of the sheet has not been subjected to gloss processing, it performs gloss processing on the surface (S120).
