SUSPENSION AND RETAINING MEMBER FOR DUST COVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain dust from entering the inside of a dust cover through a vent port provided in the dust cover.SOLUTION: A suspension 1 includes a cylinder 10 filled with liquid, a piston housed within the cylinder 10, a piston rod 20 which supports the piston and at the same time of which a part protrudes from the cylinder, a dust cover 50 which extends from cylinder 10 side and covers the piston rod 20 in the axial direction of the piston rod 20 and expands and contracts by motion of the piston rod 20, and a bump stopper cap 100 which is attached to the cylinder 10 and holds the cylinder 10 side of the dust cover 50. Furthermore, the bump stopper cap 100 has a notch 111 which secures air flow of the inside and outside of the dust cover 50 when the piston rod 20 moves, and a dust inflow reducing portion (inside protrusion and outside protrusion) which reduce the inflow of dust flowing into the dust cover 50 along with air flow via the notch 111.
