Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device capable of properly determining whether there is an open fault in a constant voltage route L3 in the ignition device.SOLUTION: A resistor 20 to detect a current is provided to a constant voltage route L3. In such a configuration, when a switching element 16 is in an ON state and a primary coil 12a is energized, fault determination processing is performed, and thereby it is determined that there is an open fault in the constant voltage route L3 if it is determined that a current is not detected by the resistor 20. When it is determined that there is an open fault, notification processing is performed, and thereby a user is notified accordingly.
