Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake and exhaust apparatus of a multi-cylinder engine suppressed in a drop of volumetric efficiency through each rotation range from an engine low speed range up to a high speed range.SOLUTION: In an engine low speed range, an exhaust system is adjusted and cylinders are scavenged by an ejector effect to improve volumetric efficiency, that is, torque as a result. In a middle speed range, a pipe length, a pipe diameter or capacity of an intake system from an air cleaner 3e to an intake port 17 is adjusted and intake air is supercharged by an intake resonance effect to improve volumetric efficiency, that is, torque as a result. In a high speed range, the length of an independent intake passage 3 is adjusted and intake air is supercharged by an intake inertia effect to improve volumetric efficiency, that is, torque as a result.
