Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective method for protecting concrete, while making the best use of the base of concrete.SOLUTION: In this method for protecting concrete for disposing an under coating layer, an intermediate coating layer and an upper coating layer successively on the surface of a substrate comprising concrete, the under coating layer is formed by using aqueous emulsion containing a silane compound having a hydrolyzable functional group, and the intermediate coating layer is formed by using a composition for the intermediate coating layer containing an acrylic resin whose glass transition temperature is ≤20°C, a crosslinking agent and a water-swellable synthesized inorganic layered silicate, wherein the content of the water-swellable synthesized inorganic layered silicate is 1-50 pts.mass on the assumption that the amount of the acrylic resin is 100 pts.mass.
