PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lancet wherein the mounting to an injector does not largely depend on the shape size of a plunger installation part and which can contribute to disposal amount reduction after use.SOLUTION: A lancet 100 includes a lancet body 133, a lancet cap 170, and a puncture member. The puncture member made of a metal is present inside the lancet body 133 and the lancet cap 170 astride them, a tip part of the puncture member is covered by the lancet cap 170, the lancet body 133 is thin except an edge part thereof, the edge part of the lancet body has a shape symmetrically extending from a thin part of the lancet body.
