Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new agent for controlling diseases of bees, not only having (i) high activity for controlling bacteria of American foulbrood, but also having (ii) high activity for controlling the whole diseases of the bees, and (iii) exhibiting high safety on human bodies and the environment.SOLUTION: There is provided a new lactic bacterium having (A) a base sequence of 16SrRNA gene with a base sequence having ≥99% homology with a specific base sequence in a genome DNA, and (B1) properties for externally secreting a material having anti-American foulbrood activity, and (B2) properties for promoting the production of antibacterial peptide in a honeybee to which the lactic bacteria is administered, and inhibiting the infection by the whole pathogenic microorganisms. An agent for controlling the diseases of the honeybees contains the lactic bacteria. This method for controlling the diseases of the bees includes orally administering the lactic bacteria.
