PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scaffold that can easily pass through a large obstacle disposed on an overhead line.SOLUTION: A scaffold 1 includes a pair of arms 13, a scaffolding plate 19, a hook member 21 and a brake mechanism 30. The pair of arms 13 rotatably support at their respective upper part pulleys 11 that roll with their peripheral surface mounted on an overhead line W. The scaffolding plate 19 is supported to permit rotation of a support target portion 17 by rotary shaft parts 15 respectively disposed at a lower part of each of the pair of arms. The hook member 21 is turnably or rotatably journaled to an upper part than a pulley support part of each of the arms, and is detachably hooked to the overhead line. The brake mechanism 30 restricts a rolling motion of at least one of the pulleys in a state that the pulleys are mounted on the overhead line.
