Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To point a predetermined overhead installation object properly and easily.SOLUTION: In the overhead installation object specification system, an irradiation terminal 2 disposed removably at a predetermined position of a pole P and a server 4 are connected communicatively, and the server includes a database 41 storing the irradiation direction of visible light, from an irradiation terminal 2 disposed at a predetermined position of a pole P, with which some overhead communication cable 101 can be irradiated, in association with the identification information of the pole P and the identification information of the overhead communication cable 101. The server 4 acquires, from the database 41, the irradiation direction corresponding to the identification information of the pole P and the identification information of the overhead communication cable 101 received from the irradiation terminal 2, and transmits the irradiation direction to the irradiation terminal 2. The irradiation terminal 2 irradiates visible light in the irradiation direction thus received.
