PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which increases the light distribution angle and inhibits tint variations caused by the radiation angle.SOLUTION: A light emitting device comprises: a light emitting element 3; a first sealing part 4 which includes a light transmissive resin and a phosphor having first concentration and covers the light emitting element; and a second sealing part 5 which includes a light transmissive resin and a phosphor having second concentration higher than the first concentration and is provided on the first sealing part. A surface arranged perpendicular to a boundary surface 10 between the first sealing part and the second sealing part, from among a surface of the first sealing part, and a surface arranged perpendicular to the boundary surface 10, from among a surface of the second sealing part, are exposed. Further, the phosphor included in the second sealing part emits fluorescent light having the same wavelength as that of the phosphor included in the first sealing part. The boundary surface 10 is a satin-finished surface. Furthermore, the first sealing part and the second sealing part respectively have quadrangular prism shapes.
