Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber closure which can dispense with new suspension for a messenger wire and routing of a power source line and an optical fiber, and to provide an electrical energy measuring system using the same.SOLUTION: The optical fiber closure comprises: an optical connection tray 14 which is provided in a storage case 11 and from which an optical fiber 16B for branch is connected to an optical fiber cable 180 being a main line; photovoltaic power generation panels 12 and 13 which are provided outside of the storage case 11 and convert sunlight into electricity; a storage battery 15A which is provided in the storage case 11 and stores the electricity of the photovoltaic power generation panels 12 and 13 therein; a radio unit 15B which is provided in the storage case 11, operates by the electricity of the storage battery 15A and performs wireless communications with an electronic watt-hour meter provided in customer's house; and an optical communication section which is provided in the storage case 11, operates by the electricity of the storage battery 15A, converts data of the electronic watt-hour meter received by the radio unit 15B into an optical signal, and transmits the optical signal to the optical fiber 16B.
