Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample rack operation unit which is simpler and more compact and has more flexibility.SOLUTION: A rack reception area 12 provided in a rack loading part 10 has a mounting rail 11 disposed in a longitudinal direction in parallel with a rack loading edge 13. When a rack 60 is mounted on the rack reception area in the direction of crossing the mounting rail from the rack loading edge 13, a recessed part 61 located at the bottom of the rack 60 is engageable with the mounting rail, and the mounting rail has a base part of a wedge-shaped or roughly triangular cross section, and a projection part extending from the base part so as to enable the recessed part to be detached from the mounting rail by sliding the rack in the direction of the rack loading edge, the projection part extends toward the rack mounting edge, and the base part includes an inclined mounting rail side part provided oppositely from the rack mounting edge.
