AUTOMATIC ANALYZER PROVIDED WITH A PLURALITY OF REACTION PROCESSING MEANS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer which has a structure that does not lower processing speed (throughput) even when there is a processing step to be a factor increasing a cycle time of the automatic analyzer and which deals with a processing capability required while considering economy.SOLUTION: The automatic analyzer includes: first and second reaction processing means for periodically causing reaction of a sample dispensed to and contained in each of reaction containers; supply means for supplying the reaction containers to the first and second reaction processing means periodically and separately; and detection means for periodically detecting measurement signals from the contents of reaction containers having experienced reaction caused by the first or second reaction processing means. In the automatic analyzer, periodic operation by the supply means and the detection means is performed at a cycle time of T seconds per reaction container, periodic operation by the first to the n-th reaction processing means is performed at a cycle time of nT seconds per reaction container, and reaction processing means to be operated among the first to the n-th reaction processing means is individually selectable.
