PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety of a bed by preventing a side fence freely attachably and detachably mounted onto/from the bed from being mounted in a front-back opposite direction from a normal state.SOLUTION: In a bed (1) in which a side fence (3) is detachably mounted on side plates (21, 22) of a bed body (2), the side fence (3) can be mounted on the bed body (2) by supporting a side fence side support part (27) formed on the side fence (3) by a body side support part (23) formed on the side plates (21, 22). On the side plates (21, 22), the body side support part (23) is formed at a position shifted from the plate thickness center of the side plates (21, 22). On the side fence (3), an opposite direction mounting prevention part (28) for preventing the side fence (3) from being mounted on the side plates (21, 22) in the front-back opposite direction is formed at a position along the inner side or outer side of the side plates (21, 22).
