LENS UNIT AND OPTICAL EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a lens inside a holding cylinder without taking up space in the direction of an optical axis.SOLUTION: The lens unit includes: a holding frame for holding an optical member; a lead screw extending in parallel to the direction of the an optical axis of the optical member; a rack section which is supported by the holding frame to be capable of being revolved around the holding frame on a surface orthogonal to the direction of the optical axis for engaging with a lead screw; and a restriction section for restricting the range of revolution for a rack to revolve from an engaging position engaging with the lead screw. In the lens unit, the rack includes an abutting section revolving along with the rack, and the holding frame may include a section to be abutted to which the abutting section abuts when the rack is revolved to the restriction position.
