PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the time for restoring the shape of a developer adsorption part of developer collection means.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: a photoreceptor drum 21 (electrostatic latent image carrier) for carrying an electrostatic latent image; a developing roller 26 (developer carrier) that develops the electrostatic latent image; a toner collection brush roller 28 (developer collection means) having brush yarn 281 (developer adsorption part) formed on the outer periphery, and collecting the developer by bringing the outer periphery of the developing roller 26 into sliding contact with the brush yarn 281 after the developing roller 26 develops the electrostatic latent image; and a drive control part that controls drive of the toner collection brush roller 28. The drive control part stops the drive of the toner collection brush roller 28 at a predetermined timing for a predetermined time.
