Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latent heat recovery type apparatus for producing hot water, which can reduce a fabrication cost by making a raw material cost of stainless steel inexpensive and has superior corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: The latent heat recovery type apparatus A for producing hot water includes a member 2 made of a ferritic stainless steel, wherein a chromium oxide film having a chromium concentration of 80% [cation atom%] or more is formed on a surface layer part of the member 2. Preferably, the ferritic stainless steel has a titanium concentration of 1% or less and a pitting resistance index less than 30 and the chromium oxide film is formed by adding heat treatment for high temperature oxidation to the member 2.
