Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous polymer membrane excellent in water permeability and hydrophilicity.SOLUTION: A porous polymer membrane comprises: only a copolymer (A) which has a vinyl alcohol unit and a tetrafluoroethylene unit with the alternation rate of the former unit and the latter unit being 30% or more; or a composition of the copolymer (A) with a vinylidene fluoride-based resin, and is produced by a non-solvent induced phase separation method, a thermally induced phase separation method or combination of their methods.
