Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission equipped with an input shaft, an output member, a toroidal type continuously variable transmission mechanism, and a differential mechanism, capable of suppressing gear shift shock when a mode is changed.SOLUTION: A transmission 1 is configured to be switchable by two clutches 91, 92 between a proportional mode which indicates a proportional relationship between speed ratio of the transmission 1 and speed ratio of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission mechanism 5, and an inverse proportional mode which indicates an inverse proportional relationship between the speed ratio of the transmission 1 and the speed ratio of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission mechanism 5. A straight line L2 of the proportional mode and a straight line L1 of the inverse proportional mode intersect in the figure capable of indicating the relationship between the speed ratio of the transmission 1 and the speed ratio of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission mechanism 5 in a portion in which the proportional mode and the inverse proportional mode are overlapped by transmission gear ratio deviation X based on input torque depending on a torque shift characteristic.
