Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high purity metal nanoparticles by safely producing the suspension of metal nanoparticles at low cost and efficiently removing impurities from the suspension.SOLUTION: In a method for producing metal nanoparticles, metal ions whose oxidation-reduction potential is >-1.6 V is made to react with a reducing agent in the presence of a catalyst to produce metal nanoparticles. The reducing agent is a silicon compound having a silicon-hydrogen single bond (Si-H), and the catalyst is a palladium compound or a platinum compound.
