Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide particle wherein when a hydrophilic coating layer is coated in one layer on the surface of an organic base material, the formed hydrophilic coating layer nearly does not decompose the organic base material, and the hydrophilic coating layer has a hydrophilic capability.SOLUTION: A titanium oxide particle is a crystalline titanium oxide particle which is a component of a hydrophilic coating, and contains a predetermined amount of vanadium. A membrane made of the titanium oxide particle has a contact angle to water in an optical excitement state of ≤26.1° and a methylene blue-decomposition rate of ≤40%.
