Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generator which efficiently generates hydrogen from water by using a photocatalyst.SOLUTION: The hydrogen generator includes a tubular light receiving part (440), the tubular light receiving part includes a hydrogen generation chamber (451) and an oxygen generation chamber (452) which extend to the longitudinal direction of the tubular light receiving part, and furthermore the hydrogen generation chamber and the oxygen generation chamber are divided from each other with an ion exchange membrane (450). Moreover, in the tubular light receiving part (440) of the hydrogen generator, the hydrogen generation chamber (451) accommodates a hydrogen generation dispersion and in certain cases causes the dispersion to flow therethrough, and the oxygen generation chamber (452) accommodates an oxygen generation dispersion and in certain cases causes the dispersion to flow therethrough.
