SIGNAL GENERATOR AND SIGNAL GENERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal generator and a signal generation method capable of suppressing distortion of output signal or degradation in S/N while correcting the frequency characteristics of the output signal.SOLUTION: A signal generator 10 includes a variable ATT 15 for attenuating the output signal from an orthogonal modulator 14, variable ATTs 21, 23 provided in an ALC circuit 20, a table storage unit 32 which stores an attenuation setting table for storing the data of each attenuation of the variable ATTs 15, 21 and 23 determined based on each division value obtained by dividing the f characteristic correction value into three at a predetermined ratio, and an attenuation setting unit 33 for setting each attenuation of the variable ATTs 15, 21 and 23 with reference to the attenuation setting table.
