Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data conversion method for a display device harmonized with human visual properties.SOLUTION: An image processing system comprises: input means capable of receiving source image data for displaying an image using a display including a subpixel repeat group with three-color subpixels; an input resolution detector for detecting the resolution of the source image data; an interpolation/duplication block for scaling the source image data; a rendering circuit which executes subpixel rendering in accordance with plural filter kernels in order to display the source image data on a display including a subpixel repeat group with at least four-color subpixels; and a display that comprises subpixels of approximately one half of the total number of the subpixels and renders target image data. The interpolation/duplication block comprises a pixel doubling circuit for latching source input data and doubling the width of the line of pixel data, and a line buffer.
