COOLING UNIT, HOUSING OF COOLING UNIT, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that cools an electronic component mounted in a specific plug-in unit in an electronic apparatus more effectively.SOLUTION: A cooling unit is mounted on an electronic apparatus that includes multiple slots for mounting a plug-in unit and an apparatus side fan generating airflow toward the multiple slots. The cooling unit includes: a housing inserted into a second slot located adjacent to a first slot where the plug-in unit is inserted and having an air inlet and an air outlet opening toward the first slot; an internal passage formed in the housing and allowing the air inlet to communicate with the air outlet; a unit side fan disposed in the internal passage and sending air drawn from the air inlet to the air outlet; and a guide member guiding air, leading from the apparatus side fan to the second slot, toward the first slot.
