MAGNETIC TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic toner having high image density and allowing an image without generating a ghost image.SOLUTION: A magnetic toner includes: magnetic toner particles including a binder resin and a magnetic substance; and inorganic fine particles present on magnetic toner particle surfaces. In the magnetic toner: inorganic fine particles include at least one type of metal oxide fine particles selected from a group consisting of silica fine particles, titania fine particles and alumina fine particles; 85 mass% or more of the metal oxide fine particles are silica fine particles. If a coverage factor of the magnetic toner particle surfaces with the inorganic fine particles is defined as coverage factor A and a coverage factor by inorganic fine particles fixed to magnetic toner particle surfaces is defined as coverage factor B, the coverage factor A is 45.0%-70.0%, a variation coefficient of the coverage factor A is less than 10.0%, a ratio of the coverage factor B to the coverage factor A is 0.50-0.85, and compressibility of the magnetic toner is 38%-42%.
