HERMETIC COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in noise or vibration of a hermetic compressor by avoiding, even in high-speed operation, vertical resonance vibration based on a support member 172 of a thrust ball bearing 176 as a spring element.SOLUTION: In the hermetic compressor, an annular thin plate is disposed below a support member to bring a damping effect by a lubricant film due to penetration of lubricant between a thrust surface of a main bearing and the annular thin plate. Since a shaft is never resonated vertically even in high-speed operation of the hermetic compressor, the increase in noise or vibration of the compressor can be prevented.
