DECORATED WEFT KNITTED FABRIC AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorated weft knitted fabric in which irregularities can be formed in a three-dimensional wavy shape on a fabric surface by a simple process, and which is excellent in extensibility of the fabric and is allowed to exhibit different appearances when viewed in different angle directions by changing the color arrangement of knitting yarns; and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The decorated weft knitted fabric includes a weft knitted structure with a triple interlock stitch texture. The decorated weft knitted fabric is manufactured by the following technical means: arranging, on both of the right and left sides of a center stitch 1 which becomes the base of the triple stitch texture, side stitches 21A and 21B, respectively, each in a sloped surface form; forming a rib R having the center stitch 1 as the top thereof in the center in such a way as to extend in a course direction; continuously weaving the triple stitches; and forming a wavy irregular shape with a plurality of the ribs R, R... on at least one of the fabric surfaces.
