PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a verification device capable of verifying whether data can normally be recorded in a recording medium.SOLUTION: A verification device (100) includes a reception part (161) for receiving data recorded in a recording medium (185), and a verification part (130) for verifying the received data. The verification part (130) sets a prescribed first range and a second range configured by a plurality of first ranges in the received data, performs first verification about an error of data included in the first range in the received data, performs second verification about an error of data included in the second range in the received data on the basis of a result of the first verification, and determines whether the recorded data is normally recorded in the recording medium (185) on the basis of the results of the first and second verification.
